I have been reading your very informative forum all day today and I really appreciate the way you explain things. I have already found so many things that I have been looking for, its just that I want to put 2 or 3 things together in one page.
I want to have a page that has the header logo and the sidebar, but is filled only with widgets. Something like http://www.blogenbois.fr/ have done for the frontpage - homepage.
I have read your post on how to fill the page with numerous widgets, and also the post on how to remove the Call to Action and Picture on homepage - but the thing is I want to keep all these elements for my homepage - I just want an additional page with only widgets to show my projects !!!
How can I achieve this? Can I save the home page as a template - as I might need that page for quite a lot of pages. If I can save it as a template, then what would be the best way to do it.
Thanks
Emil wrote:You can achieve this easily. Use http://themeid.com/forum/topic/505/child-theme-example/ or add the following to your Custom Styles in Theme Options:
#featured { display:none; }
now just keep on adding more widgets and that's all.

Emil wrote:Thanks and yes it should be good. After you're done go to Appearance > Widgets and start adding more widgets

It's me again. I am trying to add the lines that you gave me - I found themes options in my includes file, there is a CSS, a PHP and JS file. The CSS has a grid and a lot of column numbers, and the PHP has a lot of info.
I am not very sure in which file I should include this information.
Please tell .....
Thanks
