WordPress Theme updates should be released

Seven days ago there was a feedback from one of the users on WPORG about Theme updates. Some of them will not really care how often author “pushes” updates, while others will say that they go through all sorts of problems due to server “security” issues and not being able to just click that button and let WordPress finish the rest.

In my personal opinion every update is good update and it does not matter how small or big it is. If author of the Theme, or even a Plugin releases something, I would review the changes and make quick update, but that’s just me.

What was interesting is that in my own case, I also made quite bit of updates ever since Responsive was released and approved in WordPress extend and that definitely got me worried “oh man, is this really too much?”, “how much is too much?” was crossing my mind too. All right, so I’ve asked myself, why not ask users and authors at the same time? Not only that this will be helpful to authors, but it would also be good to share with users, just to show them what others think about it.

Anyways, here are the results and I hope that some of you will find this interesting.

Theme updates should be released?

    Hey Emil!

I would hope that people would want updates as you (or any theme author) releases them.

Personally, it makes me feel all warn and fuzzy inside to themes updated often – it means the author is active! it also most likely means that end users will not end up with security issues.

Keep’em coming as often as your feel the need dude:)
