What kind of Theme should we build next?
On July 26th ThemeID released first free public Theme called Shell Lite. So far we received great response from WordPress Theme Repository. In just 3 days our Theme has been downloaded over 1,445 times and in our opinion that number is more than great. Since we are coming from a Custom WordPress Themes world, all this is very new to us and exciting at the same time.
From what we could gather on Google Analytics is that majority of the people who downloaded our Theme are small business owners, which tells us that Shell was hit right on target. For people who know me and my work, you will know that since 2008 I have been developing WordPress sites for Insurance Agencies, Brokers and even few Insurance Carriers. Now the question is, what kind of Theme should we build next? The reason this post exist is that we all kind of got tired of portfolio Themes, all Blogish and same old, already seen before right?. ThemeID wants to change that as much as possible. (no we won’t invent the hot water)
Here are few solutions for the next Theme, please let me know what do you think?
- Insurance Related Theme
- Vehicle Related Theme (Auto Service, Body Shop, Rent-a-Car, Dealership?)
- Web Hosting Theme
- Night Club Theme
- How about Landing Page Theme? (simple, but not simpler, with great call-to-action)
They are just examples of what we think it would “flow” and you are more than welcome to post your suggestions. Either way the entire idea of making something new, or at least newer and rare is what ThemeID is all about. And yes not to forget, every Theme built and released is available either here (if is premium) or in WordPress repository when is free. There will be no “Theme Dumps” no other sites hosting our work and things like that.

You know… there is definitely no anime/manga themes around. There is lots of websites about animes/mangas or even games, but only themes released with that subject in mind are premium ones. I really never saw a free theme about this… and since i love your work and one of my projects is about animes/mangas, i would definitely love… not only me, but geek who build blogs about this and then have to pay someone for a work close to that subject.

insurance theme please we’re dying out here, nothing is usable & everything needs lots of work to make it ours….
